Speaking · Teryl Brouillette

AI talks that are honest, practical, and human.

Your audience has heard that AI will change everything, and that it will take everything. Teryl gives them the third story: what it actually is, what it is for, what it puts at risk, and how to claim back the time it gives them.

Signature talks

Three talks. Each one leaves something behind.

Keynote · 45 to 60 min

AI and the Humanity Dividend

Best for: Chambers, associations, conferences, leadership retreats

An honest look at what AI is, what it is for, and what it puts at risk, from energy use to synthetic content to jobs. Then the question most AI talks skip: when AI gives us time back, who gets it?

The audience leaves with

  • Plain answers to the three biggest worries
  • A method for spotting the right first project
  • A decision about what reclaimed hours are for
Working keynote · 60 to 90 min

INTRO to AI: Your First Real AI Project

Best for: Small-business centres, CFDCs, BIAs, lunch and learns

Most AI projects fail because they start with a tool instead of a problem. Owners and teams take one real task from their own week and turn it into a clear, safe plan, using a four-part method and a printed worksheet.

The audience leaves with

  • One task sorted into good or bad candidate
  • A completed INTRO worksheet
  • One thing to try this week
Short keynote · 15 to 30 min

AI Is Here. Now What?

Best for: Opening remarks, AGMs, dinners, galas

A fast, story-led journey through what we risk, what we could gain, and what we still get to decide. Leaves a room curious instead of anxious, with a shared language for the conversation that follows.

The audience leaves with

  • A clear view of risks and possibilities
  • Why AI literacy is agency, not endorsement
  • One question worth keeping

Why planners book it

Not a sales pitch. Not a doom talk.

The signature idea is the Humanity Dividend: when AI gives people hours back, do those hours get absorbed into more work, or reinvested in people, purpose and wellbeing? It gives a room a reason to care about AI that goes beyond productivity.

Audience members raising their hands in answer to the slide: How do you feel about AI?
"How do you feel about AI?" The room answers first.
  • Honest about the risks: energy, synthetic content and jobs get named and answered, not skipped
  • Something to do on Monday: every session ends with a method and a task, not a vibe
  • The room takes part: audiences answer live from their phones on EKM Live, an audience app Teryl built
  • Built for your audience: a planning call first, so the examples come from your members’ world

Before you book

What planners ask before booking.

Can the talk be tailored to our audience?

Yes, and it always is. Every booking starts with a short planning call about who will be in the room and what they deal with day to day, so the examples, stories and exercises come from your audience's world rather than a generic deck.

Do you speak virtually?

Yes. Every talk works virtually, with live polls and Q&A, for audiences anywhere. In-person talks are available across Ontario, and further afield by arrangement.

What does a keynote cost?

Fees depend on the format, length and travel. Chambers, community organizations and non-profits get a community rate. Send the details through the form and you will get a clear quote, usually within two business days.

What do you need from us on the day?

A screen or projector with HDMI and a microphone, ideally a wireless lavalier. Teryl brings a laptop and clicker. Internet is only needed if the live audience game is part of the session; everything else runs offline.

Can a keynote be paired with a workshop?

Yes. A common format is a morning keynote for the whole group followed by a hands-on INTRO workshop for the people who want to go further, or a separate session for your leadership team.
